Strangers in the night exchanging glances. Wondring in the night what were the chances we’d be sharing love before the night was through.

Something in your eyes was so inviting.
Something in you smile was so exciting.
Something in my heart told me I must have you.

Strangers in the night. Two lonely people, we were strangers in the night. Up to the moment when we said our first hello little did we know, love was just a glance away, a warm embracing dance away. And ever since that night we’ve been together. Lovers at first sight, in love forever. It turned out so right for strangers. Love was just a glance away, a warm embracing dance away. Ever since that night we’ve been together, lovers at first sight, in love forever. It turned out so right for strangers in the night.

Dear darlin’, please excuse my writing.
I can’t stop my hands from shaking,
‘Cause I’m cold and alone tonight.

I miss you. And nothing hurts like no you.
And no one understands what we went through.
It was short. It was sweet. We tried.

And if my words break through the wall,
And meet you at your door,
All I can say is “Girl, I mean them all.”

Dear darlin’, please excuse my writing.
I can’t stop my hands from shaking
‘Cause I’m cold and alone tonight.

Been thinking about the bar we drank in.
Feeling like the sofa was sinking.
I was warm in the hope of your eyes.

Oh I concur. These arms are yours to hold.

And I miss you. And nothing hurts like no you.
And no one understands what we went through.
It was short. It was sweet. We tried.
We tried.

You’d say, “This kind of love has to be a verb.
We are paint on a slick canvas – it’s gonna take a whole lot to stick
but if we do, we’ll be a masterpiece.”
And we were.

And if there’s one thing in this world I’ve ever known for sure, it’s that this girl is gonna crush me like a small bug, leave me so fucking broken there’ll be body bags beneath my eyes from nights I cried so hard the stars died. But I’m like, go ahead. I’m all yours. I would kiss you in the middle of the ocean during a lightning storm, cause I’d rather be left for dead that left to wonder what thunder sounds like.

Quiet winter night. Reminiscing about the good times he shared with his partner, and how things were falling apart. Out of the blue, a perfect stranger approaches. Their eyes locked before their hands shook. Their souls touched. He asked for a cigarette as an excuse to spend time with this stranger at the hotel’s porch; he doesn’t smoke. A supposedly 5 minutes conversation turned into an endless life talk. It was getting late, and the weather was as cold as the beer he offered him, in his hotel room. He saw right through him and eased his pain. He advised him about life being twice his age. The perfect stranger seemed as his soul mate right there and then, until the age was revealed. He found out that he’s underage, which is when he kissed his forehead and said good luck as he walked in to the hotel. They’ve never seen each other since, and he haven’t stopped thinking about him as well.
